It is recommended that the Turkish coffee that is the traditional way is called Sand Coffee.

@ We had the opportunity to experience a new Turkish coffee called Sand Coffee at ICON Siam, where they organized ICON CRAFT from a cafe called Shaloba boutique ✨ coffee, which has a sand coffee style.

"Sand Coffee" or "sand coffee" is a traditional method of making coffee in the Middle East, especially Turkish Coffee and Greek Coffee, which uses a small coffee kettle called Cezve, placed on a pan that puts about 200 ♠ degrees of hot sand and then simmered the coffee to boil up.

- Equipment used

• Cezve (Jezwe): Long Handle Brass or Copper Kettle

• Clean sand (often with fine sand burned until hot in an iron pan)

• Charcoal or gas stove for heating sand

• Very finely ground coffee (as fine as flour)

• Cold water

• Sugar (add or not wear)

- How to make Sand Coffee

1. Warm sand

Put sand in an iron pan or deep bottom pot and heat it all over.

2. Prepare coffee

Measuring finely ground coffee into Cezve (about 1 teaspoon per small cup of water), add cold water according to the amount, and add sugar as you like (some recipes add spices such as cardamom or cinnamon).

3. Place tense on sand

Bring the Cezve to burial in hot sand, half a raven level or more. Keep the heat slowly spreading into the coffee.

4. Simmer until the bubble rises

Waiting for the coffee to boil gently, a fine bubble (called foam) can be seen floating up. Gradually lift off before boiling over.

5.Repeat (if need)

Some recipes are raised and placed on sand 2-3 times to achieve a thick bubble and dark taste.

6.Serve immediately

Pour the coffee into a small glass (without filtering the coffee grounds), wait for the sediment to fall, and sip slowly.
