Ensure your pet feels safe by introducing them to water gradually. 2. **Use a Life Vest**: If your dog is not used to swimming, consider a life vest to keep them buoyant. 3. **Never Leave Them Unattended**: Always supervise your dog while they are in the pool to prevent accidents. 4. **Hydration is Key**: Make sure there’s plenty of fresh water available to keep your pet hydrated. 5. **Check for Pool Chemicals**: Rinse your dog after swimming to remove any chlorine or chemicals that could irritate their skin. 6. **Know Your Dog's Limits**: Watch for signs of fatigue or distress and keep swim sessions short to avoid exhaustion. Sharing these moments not only strengthens our bond with our pets, but also provides them with a chance to socialize and play. I wish I could do the with my dogs! Maybe the small one (he would stay standing the whole time), but my medium dog would 1000% either puncture the floatie and capsize us, or throw me overboard 😂
