Why I became a content creator?!

🌸Hey Hey Lovebugs✌🏽! There are several reasons for why I decided to become a content creator. ✍️

1. Flexibility ⌚️

Becoming a content creator allowed me to set my own schedule while providing for my family. I felt trapped in the corporate world, and I struggled to stay afloat after working 40-hour weeks. Once I became a content creator, I was able to start titrating away from the demands of working for someone else, allowing me to have more time to do things that I enjoy.

2. Financial Freedom💰

After graduating, I struggled to find employment in my field, but I already had experience in the pet industry. So, due to finances, I continued my work in 🐱animal care🐶, which I LOVED. However, I live in an outlier city in North Carolina where the standard of living exceeds the average income, and I make too much for housing assistance but not enough to afford housing. Content Creation helped me afford housing and focus on living healthily. ❤️

3. Mental Health 🧠

Lastly, I suffer from cPTSD, Generalized Anxiety, Severe Depression and I have a personality disorder. All of these disorders made it very difficult for me to wake up on time for work causing me to be a little late frequently. (Never more than 5 minutes but still late.) Although I was often considered one of the hardest and most dedicated employees at every place I worked. But the corporate standard is showing up early is on-time while showing up on time is considered late. I needed to break away from this expectation because it created a false narrative about my character. And i actually have tried everything to be on time. My body doesn’t want to move although my mind says get up. 💤

4. Connections💕

I wanted to connect with more people and spread information about mental health while helping others live life on their own terms, not according to corporate America ✨. I wanted to create a positive community of people that can support each other and teach each other how to become better versions of ourselves. 🤗

Let’s Connect! 👋

... Read moreThe rise of content creation as a career option provides unique opportunities for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements. With more people embracing this lifestyle, platforms like Lemon8 have become essential for connecting with others who share similar passions. Emphasizing mental health in online communities is crucial, especially for those who struggle with conditions like anxiety and depression. Advocating for a balanced approach to work can help normalize different paths people take, including content creation. Financial independence is another significant reason behind the shift to content creation. Many find that traditional employment does not align with their financial goals, leading them to explore alternative income sources through digital platforms. By sharing personal journeys, creators can foster connections and inspire others to pursue their passions. Building a positive support network within these communities is vital for personal growth and resilience. As a result, many content creators aim to create safe spaces where individuals can express themselves freely and seek advice. As content creation continues to evolve, more individuals will likely turn to it as a viable career path, resulting in a diverse community that uplifts and empowers one another.
