Learning to dress for myself has taken my entire life. Somebody said it best when they said, “Don’t wait. Wear the thing.” And, i have a closet full of things. I still remember the moments i first bought pink, the first dress i bought, the first time i wore girl clothes, the first skirt i wore to work… My heart was always racing, but now i can fall asleep in a lace front & lashes. 😂😂😂 Just last year i’d never even worn a lace front wig!! I didn’t remotely understand color theory or eye shape, i’m honestly really proud of my aesthetic today. Many more 32 inch wigs, big lashes, mini dresses, etc. will be in my future. What should i experiment with next? Maybe i can finally find & wear a GOWN😍🙂🤓🥳👽😸😽🫶
Embarking on a personal fashion journey is more than just selecting clothes; it's about embracing self-expression and learning through trial and error. For me, it began with small milestones—the first pink item in my wardrobe, the excitement of wearing girl clothes for the first time, and stepping out confidently in my first skirt at work. Each moment was a step toward understanding my own aesthetic. I remember how intimidating it was initially, especially with elements like lace front wigs that now feel like second nature. Last year, I couldn't have imagined confidently styling a 32-inch wig or mastering bold lashes. It’s incredible how exploring color theory and understanding how different shades complement my skin tone and eye shape has elevated my look. These discoveries have empowered me to experiment boldly and find what truly resonates with my style. For anyone on a similar journey, my advice is simple: don’t hesitate to try new things. Whether it’s a mini dress or a dramatic lash, these experiments help you carve out your unique fashion identity. I’m excited about future ventures, like finally finding and wearing a gown that feels perfect. Fashion is a living expression of ourselves, ever-evolving and deeply personal. Remember, your closet is a playground. Celebrate every 'first' and allow yourself to grow and redefine your style. Don’t wait to wear what you love—start now, and let your confidence shine through your wardrobe choices!
