Waiting doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Joel 2:25 reminds us that God restores what we thought was lost.

... Read moreReflecting on the deeper meaning of waiting, I've come to understand that periods of stillness or perceived stagnation often prepare us for future breakthroughs. The verse Joel 2:25 speaks volumes about restoration, which resonates with many personal experiences I have had through life's ups and downs. I remember feeling stuck in my career and personal growth, thinking that the years I spent struggling were wasted. But over time, those experiences turned into valuable lessons and insights that shaped my decisions positively. It's true that most people hide their grief behind thoughts like "I should be further along" or "I wasted so much time," but these feelings are often tied to a limited understanding of our life's purpose at that moment. What struck me from this reflection is the idea that God doesn't expect us to have all the answers or complete understanding immediately. Instead, He uses what we call "wasted time" as preparation, turning scars into wisdom and lost years into meaningful purpose. This perspective helps ease the guilt and regret that many face when situations don't go as planned. In my own spiritual journey, surrendering those regrets to God through prayer has brought peace and clarity. Trusting that nothing is invisible to Him and that He is actively building something within us helps transform how we view waiting periods. It's a reminder that restoration is ongoing, and each day brings new opportunities to grow and heal. For anyone feeling burdened by regret or lost time, I encourage you to embrace these experiences as part of your unique path. Be kind to yourself, and trust the process of restoration as promised in Joel 2:25. Every moment has purpose, even if it's not immediately clear.
