... Read moreStarting out in the nail art world can feel overwhelming, but my experience shows that patience and practice truly pay off. When I first began, I gave myself a 0/10 on my initial French tip nails which looked quite rough and unpolished. It was a stark reminder that everyone starts somewhere and that imperfection is part of the learning curve.
Gradually, my designs improved over time—I rated some earlier sets as low as 1 or 3 out of 10, citing issues like bulky designs or awkward flower decorations. However, I also had moments where I was genuinely proud, giving a couple of sets 6 or 6.5 out of 10, especially when I started experimenting with press-on nails. This journey taught me the importance of perseverance and honest self-assessment.
Press-on nails opened a new creative avenue for me. Though they initially came with their own set of challenges, like fitting bulkiness, they allowed me to explore design possibilities beyond traditional nail art. My evolving ratings reflect not only my technical growth but also how I learned to embrace imperfections and find joy in the process.
If you’re just starting your nail journey, my advice is to keep going despite setbacks. Look back at your early work as a map of progress and potential. Use constructive feedback—whether from yourself or customers—to refine your skills. Experiment boldly and find what styles or techniques you enjoy the most. Everyone’s nail journey is unique, but the key is consistent effort and a willingness to learn from every attempt. Soon enough, you’ll be able to create beautiful, confident designs that tell your personal story.
Can y’all not tell those aren’t hers?..
