In 2017, @huda, @monakattan, and @alyakattan found my work and completely changed my life. Because they believed in me, showcased my art, and put me on PR when I was just starting out. I was able to turn social media into my full-time career and eventually build a viral marketing company from the ground up.
Walking into this event felt full circle. I almost didn’t go, but I’m so glad I did. I got to hug friends and colleagues I haven’t seen in months ❤️ and most importantly, I got to celebrate @kayali’s newest launch with Mona herself.
Watching the brand and collection grow over the years has been so inspiring. What started as support back then has now become a journey I’ll always be grateful for. ✨ (not pictured: my 4 mental breakdowns, my toddler slapping me in the face, my mom not able to find my portable pumps, my new born having a blowout all over the new bassinet, my 1 hour hold on the phone with my insurance, my newborn almost biting a piece of my flesh out)
Attending product launches, especially like Kayali's newest collection, shortly after giving birth is a testament to the dedication many working parents have today. It highlights the balancing act between nurturing a newborn and pursuing professional passions. Many new parents face postpartum challenges, including physical recovery and emotional stress, which makes celebrating milestones like these even more impactful. Influencers play a pivotal role in brand growth, as seen by how @huda, @monakattan, and @alyakattan helped jumpstart this career by believing in the author's talent and showcasing their work. Establishing relationships with key figures in the industry early on can significantly impact one's trajectory in marketing and creative fields. Moreover, this experience sheds light on the unseen struggles during major life events—such as managing childcare disruptions, health concerns, and logistical hassles with insurance and newborn care—all while maintaining a public persona and professional commitments. The phrase “grwm at 4 days postpartum to celebrate Kayali's new launch” reflects a growing trend in social media culture where people share authentic moments of personal life intermixed with career highlights. This authenticity fosters a strong connection with digital audiences who value transparency and relatable experiences. For anyone building a career from social media or planning to attend professional events during significant life changes, this story serves as both an inspiration and a realistic depiction of the effort it takes behind the scenes. Maintaining mental health, embracing community support, and celebrating wins, big or small, are crucial in such journeys. Ultimately, this celebration is more than just a launch; it symbolizes resilience, growth, and the power of supportive communities in shaping successful careers amidst life's unpredictability.
