🌸Ten Commandments 🫶

These are the habits that helped me lose over 40 pounds and completely change my mindset 💕

Not overnight. Not perfectly. Just consistently.

I stopped chasing quick fixes and started focusing on routines I could actually stick to: walking, fasting, protein, water, discipline, and trusting the process.

This is what worked for me on my journey, and I’m still learning every day ✨ Save this for motivation when you feel like giving up.

“Discipline will take you places motivation can’t.” 🤍

... Read moreBased on my personal journey, I found that consistent habits—not quick fixes—are key to sustainable weight loss. One principle that profoundly changed my approach is the practice of intermittent fasting, particularly eating within a fixed time window. This method helped me regulate hunger and reduce unnecessary snacking, which aligns perfectly with the commandment to 'Eat in a window, pick your window and stick to it.' Prioritizing protein at the start of my day was another game-changer. Eating protein first thing in the morning helped reduce hunger and improve my appetite control throughout the day, resulting in faster progress. I realized that guessing portions can derail efforts, so I adopted the rule of 'Eat in thy bowl'—meaning no eating beyond what’s in your designated meal portion—to help maintain a calorie deficit. Daily movement also became non-negotiable. Whether it was walking, running, or exercise, being active boosted my mood and expedited fat loss. I noticed that hydration played a surprisingly critical role; by drinking plenty of water daily, I supported my digestion and energy levels. Staying disciplined in these areas made a huge difference, echoing the command to ‘Stay disciplined’ for consistent results. Mentally, I had to let go of overthinking and trusting the process every step of the way. The scale can often lie or cause frustration, so I learned to use the mirror and how my clothes fit as true indicators of progress, which helped me avoid discouragement. Importantly, my faith provided strength to persevere, reflecting the message ‘Trust the process through Christ who strengthens me.’ If you’re on your own weight loss journey, remember: it’s not about being perfect overnight but staying committed consistently. These ten commandments of weight loss go beyond diet and exercise—they build a mindset that empowers lasting success. Keep these habits close for days when motivation falters; discipline will truly take you places motivation alone cannot.
