Let me tell you what!!!
Those people down to The Roots Picnic don't owe me a dime!
I'm still peeling myself up off the floor. I'm gonna easily need another 5-7 business days to recover from what just happened!
I was leary at first because of the bad reviews I've heard about it but really outside of the long wait time to get in on Saturday and a few logistics, it was a TIME TO BE HAD!!
The lineup was top tier and the surprise special guests that kept coming out had me shook! It was good! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
If you're looking to attend, VIP is the absolute best way to go for ease, convenience, and overall experience.
@att offered portable charges the entire weekend so you could capture all of your favorite moments without fear of losing battery.
The bathrooms were clean and air conditioned, we had our own food vendors as well as bars to prevent long lines and overcrowding, and there was an art lounge if you wanted to hang out in the shade and kick it with your friends between sets.
Shame on the Belmont Plateau for breaking me down like this though...those steep hills and deep crevices were NOT A JOKE!
Overall, a time was had and I highly suggest you attend for yourself before strictly going by the reviews!

Attending The Roots Picnic was truly an unforgettable experience that exceeded my expectations every step of the way. While I initially hesitated due to some negative reviews and the logistical challenges mentioned online, my visit proved that the festival offers much more than just a typical music event. One of the standout features for me was the VIP experience. Opting for VIP really transformed my weekend. I avoided the long entrance lines, had access to exclusive food vendors and bars, and found relaxing spots like the art lounge to recharge both physically and mentally between sets. These amenities not only enhanced comfort but also gave me more time to enjoy the incredible live performances. The lineup itself was nothing short of spectacular, featuring both well-known headliners and surprise guests that kept the energy high throughout the weekend. It felt like every set brought a fresh vibe, which made exploring different music genres exciting and engaging. Practical considerations were well thought out too. Thanks to the AT&T portable charging stations sprinkled throughout the venue, I was able to capture plenty of photos and videos without the worry of my phone dying during crucial moments. Also, the availability of clean, air-conditioned bathrooms was a huge relief—something that’s often overlooked at outdoor festivals. That being said, the Belmont Plateau's terrain is definitely a challenge. The steep hills and rugged paths made getting around a bit strenuous, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and preparing your stamina if you plan to explore the entirety of the festival area. Overall, my experience convinced me that The Roots Picnic is worth attending, especially if you go in with an open mind and consider the VIP option for the best convenience. It’s a perfect chance to immerse yourself in live music, embrace the vibrant atmosphere, and create lasting memories amidst great company and a well-organized festival environment. Don’t just take reviews at face value—go experience it yourself!
