Read moreOkay, team, who else feels like we're in the final stretch of school and just trying to make it to the finish line? 🙋‍♀️ It’s definitely a relatable feeling, and honestly, some mornings it feels impossible to get motivated. That's why having a solid 'GRWM FOR SCHOOL' routine, especially when you're feeling the burn, can be a total game-changer. I wanted to share some of my personal tips and tricks to not just get ready, but to actually feel ready and stay on top of things, even when the motivation is running low. First things first: outfit planning! This is where the magic of checking the 10-DAY FORECAST comes in handy. Seriously, it saves so much time and stress. I check it every Sunday evening, so I have a general idea of what the week ahead looks like. No surprises when Today is suddenly 90 degrees after a cool 60s morning! For example, if the forecast says 63° in the morning but will hit 92° by afternoon, layering is key. I'll pick a light top, maybe a cardigan or a denim jacket I can easily take off, and a skirt or light trousers. On cooler days, say consistent 61° to 65°, I'll opt for warmer jeans or thicker leggings with a cozy sweater. It sounds simple, but knowing what to wear makes the whole morning flow so much smoother. Beyond clothes, my actual GRWM routine focuses on efficiency and a little self-care. I try to wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends, to keep my body clock in check. Hydration is crucial, so I chug a glass of water right away. For breakfast, I keep it quick and easy – think overnight oats, a smoothie, or a piece of fruit with some Greek yogurt. No time for elaborate cooking when you're in the final stretch and every minute counts! To combat that 'final stretch' burnout, I also incorporate a few minutes of something calming. Sometimes it's listening to a podcast while I do my hair, or just sitting quietly for a few minutes before diving into my day. It's about setting a positive tone. And for those days when you're just not feeling it, remember that it's okay to have simpler makeup or hair. The goal is to feel put-together enough to tackle your day, not to look perfect. It's all about finding what works for you to make your GRWM feel less like a chore and more like a helpful ritual. We're almost there, let's finish strong!
