Can you deliver vertically?
When I was asked that by a client, I couldn't answer right away.
To be honest, I was licking the vertical stream. I thought, "All you have to do is rotate the horizontal setting 90 degrees." Until I actually tried it.
It was hell.
I installed the camera vertically, made a vertical canvas with OBS, and remade the entire layout. It took 4 hours. Then, when I tried to broadcast it to Instagram in production, it said, "Live Producer feature approval is required."
I applied for approval and waited 2 weeks. The result is "not approved." TikTok needs 1000 followers!
I apologized to the client, saying, "I can't stream on Instagram or TikTok." They said, "Then on YouTube," but the client wanted Instagram or TikTok.
That experience taught me a different approach.
"With YoloBox Ultra, Instagram and TikTok official apps work as is. You don't need approval or anything."
I couldn't believe it at first. But when I looked it up, it was true. Ultra is based on Android, so it's treated the same as a smartphone. Just install the app, log in, and press the "Live Stream" button.
Moreover, advanced images created on the Ultra side (3 camera switching, chroma key synthesis, telop display) are delivered directly via the app. It is a mechanism called virtual camera.
Vertical delivery has become the main product now. We receive 10 orders a month. Moreover, the unit price is high. Because there are few competitors, price negotiation is also advantageous.
I don't want you to walk the detour I took. There is a shortest route. I summarized it in a note article.
From selection of equipment to specific settings and troubleshooting. We disclose all the technologies used in actual projects.
