A little Costco run today.
We’re supposed to get cold weather again and will wait until temps are better for planting. BUTTT, I did have to pick up this gorgeous Gardenia bush. It smells so lovely and is an instant mood lifter. Check out your local Costco and pick one or two up this weekend

I recently picked up a gardenia bush at Costco and have been amazed by how much it brightens my living space. Gardenias are known for their strong, sweet fragrance that can instantly uplift your mood, especially during those colder days when outdoor planting isn’t an option yet. If you’re hesitant about caring for a gardenia, here are a few tips I’ve learned. They thrive best in bright, indirect sunlight and prefer acidic, well-drained soil. Consistent moisture is important, but be careful not to overwater, as gardenias can be sensitive to soggy roots. Also, keeping a humid environment helps prevent leaf yellowing. Aside from their beauty and scent, gardenias are also believed to have calming properties, making them a wonderful indoor plant for reducing stress. During my wait for the perfect planting weather, keeping the bush indoors near a window has allowed me to enjoy its lovely aroma. If you decide to pick one up this weekend, look for healthy, vibrant leaves and plenty of unopened buds, which means the flower will bloom soon. Costco tends to have good quality plants at reasonable prices, so it's definitely worth checking out. Don't forget to prepare a proper spot for your gardenia when the weather warms up to ensure it thrives outdoors. Adding a gardenia to your collection can be a simple way to bring a bit of nature’s beauty indoors, enhance your home’s atmosphere, and provide a lovely scent that makes any space feel cozy and inviting. Keep an eye on your local Costco stock, and consider grabbing one or two before they’re gone!
