FROZEN ESPRESSO MOCKTINI ☕️🍸❄️
This recipe is an incredible compromise between coffee… And ice cream… And a cocktail…
It’s one of my favorite non-alcoholic cocktail recipes. Don’t you just love that we live in a world where there are non-alcoholic spirit substitutes for every cocktail
I’ll leave the choice of spirit up to you, but here’s the recipe that had me licking the glass.
FROZEN ESPRESSO MOCKTINI ☕️🍸❄️
1.5 oz NA Coffee Liquor (I used a non-alcoholic alternative from @lyresspiritco)
1/2 oz NA Vodka
1/4 oz Vanilla Syrup
1/2 oz Vanilla Creamer
4 x Frozen Coffee Cubes
Prior to mixing everything together, freeze cold brew coffee or espresso in an ice tray for 4+ hours. You’ll want about 1.5-2 oz at least. 3-4 cubes. (I used 4)
In the @mychefman Obliterator travel canister, combine all ingredients. Blend on auto for 15-30 seconds, until you reach your desired consistency.
Pour mix into a fresh cocktail glass. Garnish with 3 coffee beans.

Okay, so you've tried the incredible frozen espresso mocktini recipe, right? I'm absolutely obsessed with how it perfectly blends that rich coffee flavor with a creamy, icy texture – all without any alcohol! But sometimes, you might want to switch things up or find yourself without a specific non-alcoholic spirit. That's totally okay! I've been experimenting to ensure you can enjoy this delightful mocktail anytime. Making it Your Own: Substitutions & Enhancements The original recipe calls for non-alcoholic coffee liquor, which is fantastic! Brands like Lyre's make amazing substitutes. But what if you don't have it? Don't let that stop you from enjoying a superb frozen espresso mocktini. Strong Cold Brew/Espresso: This is your best friend! Instead of NA coffee liquor, use an extra shot (or two!) of strong, chilled espresso or a concentrated cold brew. It brings that robust coffee punch without alcohol. Adjust the amount based on your preference. You could even brew a coffee with natural chocolate or caramel notes for an added layer. Coffee Syrup: A good quality coffee-flavored syrup can also add depth. Just be mindful of sweetness and reduce or omit the vanilla syrup if you go this route. Vanilla/Coffee Extract: For a hint of complexity, a tiny dash (like 1/4 teaspoon) of non-alcoholic vanilla or coffee extract can amplify flavors, especially when combined with strong coffee. Creamer Alternatives: While vanilla creamer is delicious, feel free to experiment! Oat milk, almond milk, or even a splash of coconut cream can add different nuances. I sometimes use a mix of half & half with a tiny bit of sweetened condensed milk for an ultra-creamy, almost dessert-like twist. Mastering the Frozen Texture The key to any amazing frozen drink is, well, the 'frozen' part! Those espresso coffee cubes are essential. Don't skip this step! Using regular ice cubes will dilute your drink, making it watery and less flavorful. Prepare Ahead: Make a batch of strong brewed coffee or espresso and freeze it in ice cube trays. I always have some on hand now – they're great for iced coffees too! Blending Power: A good high-speed blender ensures a smooth, consistent texture. Start with a pulse, then blend on high. If it's too thick, add a tiny splash more of your NA coffee liquor substitute or creamer until it reaches that perfect slushy consistency. You want it thick enough to spoon, but smooth enough to sip! Flavor Twists & Garnishes to Elevate Your Mocktini Now for the fun part – making your mocktini uniquely yours! Caramel Delight: Drizzle non-alcoholic caramel syrup inside your glass or on top with whipped cream. Mocha Dream: Add a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder to your blender mix, or drizzle with chocolate syrup. Nutty Twist: A tiny drop of non-alcoholic hazelnut or almond extract can add a sophisticated touch. Classic Finish: Don't forget those three perfect coffee beans on top for elegance and aroma. I also love to rim the glass with a little coffee-sugar mixture if I'm feeling fancy! Embracing non-alcoholic options doesn't mean sacrificing flavor or sophistication. With these tips and a little creativity, your frozen espresso mocktini will be a showstopper, proving that delicious, complex drinks are for everyone!
