Okay, fellow survivors, let's talk about one of my absolute favorite stealth perks in Dead by Daylight: Urban Evasion! I swear, I often get comments like 'How did he not see me?' in the chat, especially when I'm playing 'ON AIR'. This perk is seriously underrated for becoming a ghost in the fog, letting you pull off some truly sneaky plays that can turn the tide of a match. So, what exactly is Urban Evasion? Simply put, it increases your crouching movement speed. At its highest level (Tier 3), you move at 90% of your normal walking speed while crouching. This might not sound like much on paper, but in practice, it's a game-changer. Instead of slowly inching around, you can actually reposition yourself quickly and quietly without breaking into a run, which leaves those tell-tale scratch marks. I’ve found Urban Evasion to be incredibly useful in so many situations. For starters, it's fantastic for avoiding initial detection. If you hear the killer's terror radius approaching and you're out in the open or finishing a generator, a quick crouch and a fast dart behind cover can make all the difference. I’ve snuck past countless unsuspecting killers who were just meters away because I was able to swiftly duck into a bush or behind a wall. It’s all about breaking line of sight and moving silently. One of my top tips for mastering Urban Evasion is to pair it with other stealth perks. Iron Will, for example, makes your grunts of pain 100% silent when injured. Combine that with Urban Evasion, and you become practically invisible and inaudible – a true nightmare for the killer trying to track you. Lightweight is another great partner, as it makes your scratch marks disappear quicker, further hindering the killer's ability to follow you if you have to run for a moment. Imagine this combo: you get hit, crouch away super fast with Urban Evasion, leave fewer scratch marks with Lightweight, and make no noise with Iron Will. That's how you get those 'How did he not see me' moments! I also love using Urban Evasion for strategic repositioning during a chase. While it’s not for direct looping, if you manage to break line of sight, you can quickly crouch-walk to a stronger tile or even completely lose the killer by moving in an unexpected direction. Small indoor maps or maps with lots of tall grass and obstacles are where this perk truly shines. You can hug corners, weave through obstacles, and even sneak up to unhook teammates or finish gens while the killer is distracted nearby. It’s all about leveraging the environment to your advantage. My personal strategy often involves using Urban Evasion when I'm playing a more supportive role, or when I want to be the ultimate distractor. I can sneak up to a generator, get it to 99%, and then quickly crouch away to safety if the killer approaches, leaving them wondering if anyone was even there. It creates doubt and wastes their time. So, if you're looking to elevate your stealth game and become a truly elusive survivor, I highly recommend giving Urban Evasion a try. You might just surprise yourself, and definitely the killer!
