I've had countless matches where I've been downed simply because a survivor decided to run away from my outstretched hand, leaving me vulnerable. It's truly a 'GAME OVER' situation for your altruism! But the 'healing refusal' isn't the only unique brand of frustration we face as survivors. How about the teammate who finishes a generator right next to you, then immediately sprints off, leaving you to be the killer's next target? Or the one who tries to 'body block' a hit for you, only to completely miss and get you both downed? Don't even get me started on the survivors who crouch walk around the whole map, only to get instantly downed when the killer finally finds them. Each match is a rollercoaster of emotions, from pure panic to triumphant escapes, often punctuated by these hilariously frustrating interactions. So, how do we deal with these situations without throwing our controllers? Sometimes you just have to laugh it off. It's a game, after all. If a teammate repeatedly runs away from your heals, maybe it's a sign to just let them be. Focus on generators, save other survivors, and play your best. Communication, even if limited to in-game pings, can sometimes help. A quick 'come here' might get their attention. But ultimately, you can only control your own actions. My best advice? Try not to take it too personally. Every Dead by Daylight player has their own strategy (or lack thereof!). The beauty of the fog is its unpredictability, and sometimes that unpredictability comes in the form of a teammate who just doesn't want your healing love.
