Random Musings From A Geriatric Millennial Mom

A learned a few things from my last pregnancy about weight changes in the postpartum period:

1. The body of a 36 year old woman will not snap back like it did at 20 and 24 after pregnancy

2. My body gave life to three amazing humans via vaginal birth (#1 ) emergency c-section (#2 ) and planned c-section at 39 weeks for my two year old. That being said, both delivery methods are hard in different ways but baby c-section recovery ain’t no joke. That MAJOR ABDOMINAL SURGERY.

3. Do not try to be superwoman. Adjusting to motherhood whether you are a newbie or seasoned vet is hard and changes you with each pregnancy.

4. It’s ok to take depression meds for PPD. I did and it improved my life dramatically.

5. Communicate your expectations and set boundaries with your family (including your spouse) and stick to them. When you do this you can carve out time for yourself so that you can still feel like you.

P.S.

There’s a weight loss update on slide two 🤣

P.P.S

The cargos are from Target (size 10) and the top is from SHEIN (size 12-I’m a 36D
