Refrigerators are appliances that need to be run all the time. Unlike other devices, they can be turned on and off as needed, so it's not surprising that many people often worry about monthly power bills.
But do you know that just adjusting the "little button" inside the fridge the right way can save a lot of fire?
The docnhanh website from Vietnam has revealed a simple trick that many people have overlooked: adjusting the thermostatic button (rotating button inside the refrigerator) to suit the season and use, which has a direct effect on energy consumption.
Generally, there are two types of button: 5-level (0-5) and 7-level (0-7). Its function is to control the temperature in both the refrigerator and the freezer compartment, with control of the compressor operation. To maintain the temperature properly, for example, the freezer should be below -18 C and the refrigerated compartment should be 0-10 C to preserve food effectively.
A common misconception is that many people believe that "summer must be cooled," so they often rotate to the highest level, such as 5 or 7, which causes the refrigerator to work hard all the time, eat unnecessary fire. At the same time, if it rotates to level 0, the machine will stop working completely, not cold at all.
And in winter, if it is adjusted below 3, because it is thought that the air is already cold, it can result in the refrigerator almost not working, so the freezer cannot maintain a low enough temperature, the food may melt or waste unconsciously.
On the other hand, if the level is too high in summer, such as 4 or above, the refrigerator will work hard all the time, eat more lights, but does not increase the efficiency of food storage as much as it should, and may cause the machine to crash faster.
So the expert advice is that summer should be adjusted to level 1 or 2 is enough. Winter should be adjusted to level 4 or 5 to keep the freezer cool enough.
Simply turning this little button the right way can save several baht a month on electricity and extend the life of your refrigerator...Is it correct?
