Chacang Bridge
Chakurabashi is a pedestrian-only suspension bridge over the Kushida River located in Kayami, Iinan-cho, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture.
Main Features
Superb spot: It connects the roadside station "Chakura Station" and the accommodation and camping facility "Everglades Kohadakikyo" (formerly Riverside Chakura) on the opposite bank.
Height and structure: At 39m above the water surface, you can enjoy the thrill and the view. There are unusual spiral staircases at both ends of the bridge, which are raised and lowered to access the bridge.
Surrounding scenery: From the top of the bridge, you can see the clear stream of the Kushida River and the historical Tachibai weir built in the Taisho era.
Origin of the name: Because the surrounding area is a production area of Iinan tea, it is a wish that people gather at "Chanokura."
The current situation in 2026
Everglades Kohada Gorge: Riverside Chakura, located on the other side of the bridge, was reopened as Everglades Kohada Gorge in March 2024, and is still a popular base for glamping and camping as of 2026.
Access: The parking lot of the roadside station "Chakura Station" along National Route 166 is available.

「エバーグレイズ香肌峡 レビュー」を探している人向けに、私が茶倉駅側から歩いて行ったときの体感メモを追記します。結論から言うと、景色は最高だけど“行き帰りの階段”で体力を持っていかれます。 まず道の駅「茶倉駅」の駐車場に停めてスタート。橋は駐車場のすぐ横…ではなく、いったん丘を上がって、反対側へ降りる動線でした。この「丘→階段→さらに橋へ」という流れが地味に効きます。荷物が多い人や、真夏・真冬は特にペース配分した方がいいです。 そして見どころが、橋のたもとにある赤い螺旋階段。珍しい構造で写真映えしますが、段数があるので息が上がりやすいです。私は途中で「戻るか…」って一瞬迷いました。歩きやすい靴は必須で、サンダルだと結構怖いと思います。 茶倉橋に出ると一気にテンション上がります。水面からの高さがあるので風が通って涼しい反面、揺れはそれなりに感じました。高所が苦手な人は、足元（床板）より遠くの景色を見る方が楽です。櫛田川の清流がきれいで、橋の上から川と吊り橋を一緒に撮ると“それっぽい旅写真”になります。 向こう岸がエバーグレイズ香肌峡（グランピング施設）側。施設の雰囲気を外から眺めるだけでも非日常感があって、次は泊まりで来たいなと思いました。レビュー的に言うと、徒歩で渡るルート自体がアクティビティなので、「移動も含めて楽しみたい」「自然の中を歩きたい」タイプにはかなり向いてます。 注意点としては、①階段がきついので水分を持つ、②雨の日は滑りやすいので無理しない、③橋の上は風が強い日があるので帽子や軽い荷物は落下注意、の3つ。POCKET 2みたいな小型カメラで撮るなら、ストラップ装着が安心でした。 茶倉駅で休憩できるのも良いところ。歩いた後に戻ってきて、道の駅で一息つく流れが気持ちよかったです。
