Noboru King Kong's "Door"
Located in Shikamachi, Ishikawa Prefecture, Ganmon is a symbol of Noto Kongo, a scenic spot that represents the Noto Peninsula. Even in 2026, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the rough cliffs and caves created by nature.
Natural cave: The biggest attraction is a huge cave with a height of 15m, a width of 6m, and a depth of 60m, which was created by erosion by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan.
Pleasure Boat Cruise: You can enjoy a tour of about 20 minutes to get close to Ganmon.
Operation status in 2026: Operation from mid-March to late November. Closed in winter (late November to mid-March).
Fee: Adult 1,600 yen / Child 800 yen.
Nearby spot: You can also walk around the monument of "Zero Focus" which became the stage of the movie and nearby "Senjojiki Rock."

There were places affected by the 2024 Noto Hanto Earthquake, but now sightseeing boats and surrounding facilities are reopened and sightseeing is possible.

「金沢 巌門」で調べて行く人向けに、私が行ってみて助かった“実用メモ”を追加します。金沢市内からは約70分で、思ったより日帰りしやすい距離感でした。 まず注意したいのが駐車場。現地に着くまで「目的地の横に停められるのかな？」と思っていたんですが、実際は“駐車場は崖の上”にあって、巌門の海辺までけっこう降りなければならないです。遊歩道は整備されているものの急坂なので、歩きやすい靴が安心。帰りは当然上りになるので、暑い時期は飲み物を持って行くとラクでした。 見どころの洞門は、穴の向こう側まで奥行き60mと聞いてもピンと来なかったのですが、近くで見ると岩の厚みと波の迫力で「自然ってすごい…」となります。海が見えた瞬間の開放感も良くて、岩場ではついヤドカリを探してる自分がいました（足元は滑りやすいので無理は禁物）。 遊覧船は所要時間が約20分で、洞窟の“直前”まで来たときが一番テンション上がりました。私が見た案内では乗船券は船内発売の表記もあり、チケットの買い方や集合場所は日によって運用が変わることもあるので、出発前に現地掲示や公式情報を確認すると安心です。天候で欠航もありえるので、金沢から行くなら午前〜昼の早めに到着するプランにして、もし欠航でも周辺散策に切り替えられるよう余裕を持たせるのがおすすめ。 周辺は「ゼロの焦点」の碑や千畳敷岩も歩いて回れて、写真スポットが多め。私は短時間でも満足できたので、金沢観光に“もう1日足す”というより、日帰りの自然枠として組み込むとちょうど良い旅程でした。
