Noboru King Kong's "Door"
Located in Shikamachi, Ishikawa Prefecture, Ganmon is a symbol of Noto Kongo, a scenic spot that represents the Noto Peninsula. Even in 2026, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the rough cliffs and caves created by nature.
Natural cave: The biggest attraction is a huge cave with a height of 15m, a width of 6m, and a depth of 60m, which was created by erosion by the rough waves of the Sea of Japan.
Pleasure Boat Cruise: You can enjoy a tour of about 20 minutes to get close to Ganmon.
Operation status in 2026: Operation from mid-March to late November. Closed in winter (late November to mid-March).
Fee: Adult 1,600 yen / Child 800 yen.
Nearby spot: You can also walk around the monument of "Zero Focus" which became the stage of the movie and nearby "Senjojiki Rock."

巌門は能登金剛でも特に人気のスポットで、私も過去に訪れたことがあります。駐車場は崖の上にあり、そこから急坂の遊歩道を下りて洞窟や遊覧船乗り場へアクセスします。歩きやすい靴がおすすめです。 遊覧船では、約20分のクルーズで洞門のすぐそばまで近づき、荒々しい日本海の波によって形作られた大迫力の洞窟を眺められます。洞門の奥行きは約60メートルというのは一瞬実感しづらいですが、間近で見るとその大きさに驚きます。アングルによっても見え方が違うため、何度訪れても新鮮な発見がありました。 また、遊覧船の乗船券は船内でも購入可能で、家族連れやカップルに人気のアトラクションです。季節によって運行期間と時間が限られるため、訪問前に公式サイトで最新の運航状況や天候による欠航情報を確認することを強くおすすめします。 周辺には映画「ゼロの焦点」の碑や「千畳敷岩」などの散策スポットもあり、一日かけて自然と歴史に触れる旅が楽しめます。私自身、ヤドカリを探しながらの散策も楽しく、子どもたちの良い思い出になりました。 アクセスは「のと里山海道」の柳田ICまたは西山ICから約30〜40分、金沢市内からは約70分と車でのアクセスが便利。無料駐車場も十分な台数がありますが、休日は混み合うため早めの到着が安心です。 能登半島地震の影響がありましたが、2026年現在では遊覧船も施設も営業再開され、安心して観光できます。自然の雄大さと海の美しさを存分に感じたい方に特にお すすめのスポットです。次の旅行計画にぜひ加えてみてください。
