Well, since you didn’t, let me tell you what I read… 👀📖😂
Tonight’s Bible Story is Joseph & That Coat, and babyyyy… this one got betrayal, slavery, false accusations, AND a glow-up only God could do. 😭✨
So boom… we in Genesis 37–50.
There’s this young man named Joseph.
Favored, chosen, a lil dreamy (literally), and his daddy LOVED him down.
Jacob made him a coat of many colors like:
“You my favorite, don’t tell your brothers.” 😌🎨
Now let’s pause… because that right there?
Started PROBLEMS.
Joseph’s brothers were already side-eyeing him…
but then Joseph starts having dreams like:
“Y’all… I had a dream y’all was bowing to me.” 🌾👀
Oh… they were SICK.
They said:
“Who you think you are??” 😐🔥
Jealousy ACTIVATED.
One day, they out in the field and see Joseph coming…
and instead of saying “hey lil bro,”
they said:
“Let’s get rid of him.” 😭
They throw him in a pit…
then sell him into slavery.
YES… SOLD HIM.
For some coins.
And went back home like:
“Yeah… he gone.” 🥴
Meanwhile Joseph?
Alone. Betrayed. In chains.
BUT GOD WAS STILL WITH HIM. 🙏🏽✨
Now Joseph ends up in Egypt working for a man named Potiphar.
And even as a SLAVE…
everything Joseph touched started prospering.
👉 Favor will follow you even in places that were meant to break you.
Potiphar trusted him with EVERYTHING.
But here comes… DRAMA.
Potiphar’s wife tries to get with Joseph like:
“Come here 👀”
Joseph said:
“Ma’am… I fear God.” 🙅🏽♂️
She gets mad, lies, and says HE tried her.
And just like that…
Joseph gets thrown in PRISON.
Now let’s be real… at this point we’d be like:
“God??? HELLO??” 😩
But even in prison…
Joseph still had favor.
He starts interpreting dreams for people.
Then boom… Pharaoh (the king) has a dream nobody can explain.
They remember Joseph like:
“Wait… it’s this dude in prison 👀”
Joseph comes in, interprets the dream, and basically says:
“There’s gonna be a famine… prepare NOW.”
Pharaoh said:
“Oh you SMART smart.” 😭
And just like that…
Joseph goes from PRISONER → to SECOND IN COMMAND over ALL Egypt. 👑🔥
ONLY GOD.
Now here’s the full circle moment…
The famine hits…
and guess who comes to Egypt looking for food?
HIS BROTHERS.
The SAME ones who sold him.
And they don’t even recognize him…
but Joseph recognizes THEM.
And just like those dreams…
they bow.
WHEW.
Joseph could’ve been like:
“Security… handle that.” 😐
But instead he says:
“What y’all meant for evil… God used for GOOD.” (Genesis 50:20)
And he forgives them.
BABYYYY that’s growth. That’s healing. That’s GOD. 😭✨
✨ The Message📱:
✨ Favor doesn’t mean your life will be easy… it means God is with you through it all.
(Genesis 39:2)
✨ Everybody clapping for you is NOT happy for you. Move wise.
(Genesis 37:4)
✨ Even when people lie on you, God will still elevate you.
(Genesis 39:20–23)
✨ Your pit, your prison, and your pain are all part of your PROCESS.

✨ God will make your story come full circle in a way only He can.
