When traveling to China, sometimes we want to try a famous shop but can't find it. Or some days walk until the legs break late at night and don't want to step out of the hotel. ✨ Get to know Meituan Waimai (Mei Duan)

This app is like GrabFood or Foodpanda. It covers all over China. There are a lot of stores, from street food to luxury stores in the mall.

2. Meal order procedure

Step 1: Pin the Address for the hotel address. The hotel staff can fill in.

Open the app and select the "Yellow Helmet" icon.

Press the bar at the top.

Request a "hotel name in Chinese" from the counter or a copy of the address from the map app for accuracy of submission.

Step 2: Choose a restaurant.

Use the Visual Search feature or copy the Chinese menu name in the search box. Introduce Chinese to be the most accurate.

Recommended store: Look at stores with a lot of stars (4.5 and up) and a high number of monthly sales (weekly).

Use the translation app (screen scan) to see the menu name and price.

Step 3: Select the menu and enter the basket.

Press the yellow button (+) to select the food.

Some menus may have additional options (e.g. spiciness, sweetness level). Notice the + sign.

Once selected, press the yellow button below the right to go to the checkout page.

Step 4: Payment (Checkout)

Check the total (will include food charge + packaging charge + shipping charge)

Important: In the "Notes" box, if staying at a hotel, you should type "Notes" (please send at the reception counter).

Or "(food pantry), as most riders are not allowed to go up to the room.

Press the pay button through Alipay or WeChat Pay bound.

Step 5: Getting food

You can see Ryder's position in the Real-time map.
