Halloween or just another boozy excuse?
Okay look I’m not anti-Halloween. Costumes, candy, Trick or Treating? Love all that. But the whole horror-core aesthetic that takes over every front yard in October? No thanks. I walked past a house last night with fake blood splattered across the windows and a half body mannequin hanging from the tree. Like… WHY? Since when did “family fun” mean traumatizing toddlers on their way to school?
And don’t even get me started on how it’s turned into yet another excuse for adults to drink in costume. Halloween used to be for kids now it’s just St. Patrick’s Day with fake fangs. Can we chill for one night and just enjoy candy without pretending to be serial killers?
What do you think has Halloween gone too far or am I just being a grump?

oh wow it’s almost like adults want to participate in a holiday in an age appropriate way… i’ve said it once on the internet and i’ll say it again - nobody is required to cater to other people’s kids.
