Thrift Find to BATIM Prop
Took me WAYYY too long to finally sit and edit this video but here we go! #batdr #batim #bendy #batimprop #joeydrew
Hey fellow creatives! I'm so excited to share my latest DIY adventure: transforming a humble thrift store find into an epic Bendy and the Ink Machine prop! If you're anything like me, you love the thrill of the hunt and turning forgotten treasures into something new and exciting. This project wasn't just about crafting; it was about bringing a piece of the spooky BATIM world to life on a budget. Finding the perfect base for your prop at a thrift store can be incredibly rewarding. My best advice for thrifting props, whether for a game replica or even a music video set (like those cool boho vibes you might find in Miami thrift stores!), is to go in with an open mind. Don't look for the exact item; look for *potential*. A plain wooden box can easily become a 'Gentle Giant' soup can, a broken clock can be a piece of the animation studio's decaying glory, or a simple mannequin hand could be a subtle nod to the game's eerie atmosphere. Think about textures, shapes, and materials. Could it be painted? Distressed? Combined with other elements? I always keep an eye out for vintage items, old electronics, or even just interesting junk that has the right silhouette for a horror-game aesthetic. You'd be surprised what hidden gems you can uncover! For my BATIM prop, I focused on capturing that iconic, eerie animation studio vibe. Thinking about the actual BATIM locations, like Joey Drew Studios, helped me visualize what kind of prop would fit right in. Imagine recreating a piece of the 'Ink Machine' itself, or a 'Little Devil Darling' cutout. You don't need fancy tools to make amazing Bendy crafts. Often, all it takes is some acrylic paint, a few brushes, maybe some sandpaper for distressing, and a good sealant. For my project, I used basic craft supplies to mimic the aged, inky look of the game. I also love to add little details, like fake ink splatters or scratched surfaces, to really sell the illusion. The key is patience and a willingness to experiment. Don't be afraid to get messy! There are tons of online tutorials for distressing wood, aging metal effects with paint, or even making realistic-looking ink. If you're trying to replicate something specific from the game, like a particular sign or a character's accessory, take screenshots of the in-game assets for reference. This helps immensely with accuracy. Remember, the goal is to 'Make' something that feels authentic to the game's world. This whole process proves that you don't need a huge budget to create something truly unique and impressive. It's all about creativity and seeing the potential in everyday objects. So, let's keep crafting! I'd love to hear what kind of Bendy crafts or other game-inspired props you've made or plan to make. Feel free to 'COMMENT DOWN BELOW WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE NEXT!' It's always inspiring to see what other creators are working on. 'THANKS FOR WATCHING!' and happy crafting!
