One of the most memorable long weekend spent at Argyll House. Positioned two hours from New York, its perfectly curated, whimsical interiors transport you to the English countryside. Swimming, tennis, and private hiking trails can fill your days. You may find, like us, you never want to leave #boutiquehomes #bestrental #weekendtrip #connecticut

Spending a long weekend at Argyll House truly feels like stepping into a dream you can't find on popular rental platforms like Airbnb. The home’s design captures the charm of the English countryside with exquisite attention to detail, from cozy nooks to elegant furnishings that invite relaxation and comfort. During my stay, the variety of activities available made each day special. Morning swims in the pristine pool were refreshing and energizing, while afternoon tennis matches offered a fun way to stay active. What I loved most was exploring the private hiking trails surrounding the property—these peaceful paths felt like a secret escape into nature, perfect for reflective walks or invigorating hikes. The atmosphere of Argyll House makes it easy to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a serene spot for creative work, or a vibrant space to enjoy with friends and family, this boutique home caters to all. Its seclusion combined with luxury amenities creates a perfect balance of privacy and indulgence. If you’re searching for a unique weekend trip close to New York, especially within Connecticut, Argyll House stands out as a top choice. Its one-of-a-kind charm and carefully curated spaces leave guests reluctant to leave, providing memories that linger long after the stay ends.
