Being Present For My Kids While Building Something Of My Own.

Everything I’m building has one rule: it can’t cost me being present for my kids.

I’ve watched people chase income and lose the very moments they were trying to provide for. I’m not willing to do that.

So I build in the gaps quietly, around school runs and dinner tables and bedtime stories, instead of stepping away from them.

There’s a verse I hold onto, that she is clothed with strength and dignity and can laugh without fear of the future.

That’s the woman I’m trying to become: steady, present, and building something of her own at the same time. It’s not either-or.

My why keeps me honest. If your kids are your why too, comment a 🤍.

Save this for the days that feel like too much.

... Read moreAs a parent striving to build something meaningful while prioritizing time with my children, I've learned that success isn't just about financial gain but about presence and purposeful living. The tiny hands, laughter, and everyday memories form the foundation that fuels my motivation. Building around school runs, meal times, and bedtime stories has taught me the art of patience and mindfulness. One key takeaway from my journey is embracing the small gaps and moments rather than seeking large blocks of uninterrupted work time. This approach allows me to stay connected to my children’s world while advancing my goals steadily. I also rely on gentle reminders like the verse about strength, dignity, and fearless laughter to maintain my inner balance and resilience. For those navigating similar paths, creating flexible routines and realistic expectations can transform the experience from overwhelming to fulfilling. It’s about cherishing the present moment as much as the dreams you’re chasing. Ultimately, this balance can lead to a deeper sense of achievement that encompasses both personal growth and family joy.
