TIP Transliteration spelling
Because there are a lot of transcriptions from English to Thai, I collect consonants. The basis that, if you know, will make it easier to take the exam.
● P when it is an early consonant is written with D.
When it's cursive, it's written with p.
e.g. application > application
● T when it is an early consonant is written with t.
When it is spelled, it is written with t.
Eg Internet > Internet
● K when it is an early consonant is written with c.
When it's cursive, it's written with a.
e.g. kick > kick (cursive ck is also written with a)
● CE when it is cursive is written with z.
For example, Facebook can be transliterated as Facebook.

เมื่อพูดถึงคำทับศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษในภาษาไทย เรามักจะเจอปัญหาการสะกดคำที่ไม่แน่นอน จึงทำให้สับสนและอาจส่งผลกับการสื่อสารหรือการเขียนบทความทางการได้ด้วย โดยส่วนตัวแล้ว การเรียนรู้ว่าเสียงตัวอักษรหนึ่ง ๆ ในภาษาอังกฤษเมื่อต้องเขียนเป็นภาษาไทยควรใช้ตัวอักษรใด เช่น ตัว P ที่เป็นพยัญชนะต้น เราควรใช้ "พ" แต่เมื่อตัวสะกดต้องใช้ "ป" จะช่วยให้สะกดคำได้ถูกต้องมากขึ้น เช่นคำว่า "application" ที่ต้องเขียนว่า "แอปพลิเคชัน" นอกจากนี้คำที่สะกดตามเสียง CE ให้เป็นตัวสะกด "ซ" เช่นคำว่า "Facebook" ที่เขียนว่า "เฟซบุ๊ก" ก็ช่วยลดความผิดพลาดได้มากเช่นกัน ผมแนะนำว่าควรเก็บตารางคำทับศัพท์เหล่านี้ไว้ในโทรศัพท์หรือโน้ตส่วนตัว เพื่อเรียกดูทันทีเวลาสงสัย และถ้าฝึกเขียนบ่อย ๆ ก็จะช่วยให้คุ้นชิน คำสะกดจะถูกต้องโดยอัตโนมัติ ท้ายที่สุด การเข้าใจหลักการพื้นฐานนี้ไม่เพียงแค่ช่วยในการทำข้อสอบเท่านั้น แต่ยังมีประโยชน์ในการเขียนอีเมล ติดต่อธุรกิจ หรือแม้แต่บทความต่าง ๆ ที่ต้องการความมืออาชีพ อย่าลืมฝึกใช้เป็นประจำเพื่อความแม่นยำที่มากขึ้นนะครับ!
