Amazon haul for bible study…. So exciting!!! 🩷🥰🌸
Oh my goodness, I am SO excited about my latest Amazon haul, all geared towards making my Bible study time even richer and more engaging! There’s nothing quite like fresh supplies to spark joy and motivation when you're diving into God's Word. I wanted to share my new treasures with you all, especially since some of these items have been on my wishlist for ages! First up, let’s talk about a resource that’s been a game-changer for so many: the Rose Handbook of Bible Charts, Maps, and Timelines. If you're serious about understanding the historical and geographical context of the Bible, this book is an absolute must-have. I’ve found that trying to grasp the narrative of books like 1 KINGS or 2 KINGS without understanding the succession of kings, or following the conquests in JOSHUA without a map, can be really challenging. This handbook breaks it all down visually. For instance, imagine trying to comprehend the judges’ era in JUDGES without a clear timeline of events and leaders – it can get confusing! The charts help you see the bigger picture, connecting characters and events across different books. And when you're reading about the captivating story of ESTHER or the lives of prophets like Samuel in 1 SAMUEL, the timelines really help to place them in their proper historical setting, making the narratives come alive in a whole new way. It's like having a personal tour guide through ancient history, shedding light on every chapter. Next, I'm thrilled to add some Heidi St. John books to my collection. If you're looking for practical, faith-filled encouragement, her writing is truly a blessing. She has a way of speaking directly to your heart, offering wisdom on everything from parenting and homeschooling to simply living out your faith with purpose. Her insights always feel so relatable and grounded in biblical truth. I find that reading books like hers alongside my Scripture study helps me to apply what I'm learning to my everyday life, bridging the gap between ancient texts and modern challenges. They’re perfect for those moments when you need a little extra encouragement or a fresh perspective on walking with Jesus. Beyond these specific resources, my haul also included a few general bible study supplies that always make the experience better. I grabbed some no-bleed pens and highlighters – because who wants ink seeping through their precious Bible pages? Plus, a new set of colorful tabs to help me quickly navigate through different books of the Bible. A beautiful new journal is also part of my setup, perfect for jotting down reflections, prayers, and insights as I read. And, of course, a new journaling Bible (which pairs perfectly with my #illustratingbible techniques!) that offers wider margins for notes and creative expressions. These little things make such a big difference in creating an inviting and focused Bible study environment. I’m so excited to dive into these new resources and deepen my understanding of God's Word. If you're looking to refresh your own Bible study routine, I highly recommend checking out the Rose Handbook and anything by Heidi St. John. Happy studying, everyone! 🩷
