Let’s talk about anxiety ♡

#safespace #lemon8challenge

Hey hey

I have been dealing with anxiety for many years.

From social to other types

It can get super hard when hanging out with friends and family and just wanting to go home or just go in your room.

Here are some tips

Find a safe space

if it's at a table at a restaurant sit at the end or by someone you at most comfortable with or a house I usually like sitting on the floor with a pillow or a blanket or if the couch is L-shaped that's most comfortable for me

Talk openly to family and friends

Go see a doctor

If your anxiety is so bad you can't do things that you want to do go see a doctor and they may put you on meds to help.

Throw all your anxiety on [God], because he cares for you.”—1 PETER 5:7.

... Read moreAnxiety is a common experience that can significantly impact daily life. If you find social situations overwhelming, start by creating your personal comfort zones. A gentle reminder is to prioritize self-care, such as mindfulness practices, which can help ease mental tension. Activities like deep breathing and meditation are effective techniques often recommended by mental health professionals. Consider joining support groups, either online or in person, where you can share experiences with others facing similar challenges. Such communities can offer a sense of belonging and understanding. If your anxiety symptoms are severe or persistent, it’s crucial to consult a healthcare provider who can guide you through treatment options like therapy or medication. Emphasizing the importance of expressing feelings can be beneficial. Talking to friends and family about what you're experiencing helps lighten the emotional load, fostering deeper connections. Remember, you're not alone in this journey, and resources are available to help you navigate anxiety effectively.

One piece or “advice” that actually makes my anxiety worse is whenever someone tells me to “just calm down”. Honestly makes it worst! It’s not even really advice, it’s more so a command and it feels invalidating. Anxiety doesn’t have a switch, I can’t just turn it off! In fact, I start to panic e

This image outlines the six types of boundaries: intellectual, emotional, physical, time, sexual, and material. Each type is defined with examples of healthy boundaries and how they can be violated.
This image illustrates what personal boundaries with oneself look like, including taking breaks, managing finances, prioritizing sleep, preparing meals, limiting self-criticism, making time for goals, saying 'no', and limiting social media.
This image compares boundaries versus walls, highlighting that both stem from a desire for safety and respect. It details characteristics of healthy boundaries (flexibility, clear expectations) versus rigid walls (avoiding intimacy, isolating).
