Keep it Fun and Engaging: Long, repetitive drills bore Frenchies quickly. I turned training into a game. Hide-and-seek with treats for recall, or practicing 'sit' and 'stay' before getting his favorite toy. When it's fun, they're more likely to participate. Understanding Their Quirks: My Frenchie has selective hearing when there are interesting smells around. Instead of getting frustrated, I worked on recall in less distracting environments first, gradually increasing distractions. For leash pulling, I used a front-clip harness, which made walks much more pleasant for both of us. Socialization Matters: Exposing him to different sights, sounds, people, and other dogs from a young age helped him become more confident and less reactive, which in turn made him more receptive to training in various situations.
