Looks can be deceiving 🫶
ADHD in women doesn’t always look loud.
Sometimes it looks like:
- holding everything together until you’re alone
- overexplaining so nobody misunderstands you
- saying “yes” when you’re already exhausted
- looking calm while your brain is racing
- constantly feeling behind
- crashing the second the day is over
A lot of women with ADHD spent years masking, people pleasing, overcompensating, and convincing themselves they were “just bad at coping.”
Many were never taught that overwhelm can hide behind being “fine.”
You are not lazy.
You are not dramatic.
You are not failing at life.
Your nervous system may simply be overloaded. ☀️

I wish this was recognized when I was a young child in school. It made me feel like I was so different and labeled unruly 😔the older I became. It was only recognized in boys😔. I’m happy for the generations after me to gain compassion , respect and love from being different bc of the brain working against us. I’ve learned so much since 2020 and social media brings light to the condition and started accepting myself and loving myself. 🤗🙏 for anyone struggling with ADHD
