Day 1 of Cycle

If you can't do the heavy lifting today, do something. Today I found a 10 minute core workout on YouTube. You wouldn't think core would be something you'd want to focus on, on the first day of your cycle, but it actually somewhat helped the cramping.

Try to do something on those low, slow days - even if it's taking a walk or doing some beginner yoga. You'll thank yourself later.

... Read moreDuring the first day of your cycle, it's common to feel fatigued and experience discomfort. However, engaging in light exercises can significantly alleviate symptoms. According to research, gentle core workouts help not only in reducing cramps but also in enhancing mood due to the release of endorphins. Many women find that workouts as short as 10 minutes can yield beneficial results. Incorporating activities such as stretching, yoga, or brisk walking can facilitate circulation and improve overall sense of well-being. Being active also empowers women to take control of their bodies and combat the fatigue that often accompanies the menstrual cycle. Remember to listen to your body and choose exercises that feel right for you during this time.
