I’ve flowered over 50 weddings - what made this my favorite? 2025/2026 brides, this is worth a read / save!
To start, this bride booked me 30 days before her wedding. Typically, brides book florists 9 months to a year out. I happened to have this date available which is rare. The timeline didn’t stress me out, rather, pushed me to make on the spot creative decisions.
This was also one of the highest budget weddings I’ve done. The budget flexibility gave me the ability to hire a lot of extra help. Florists are expensive, but I promise you do not want a cheap florist. You are paying for flower quality and expertise. For example, the flowers on the gate were a game time decision. You want to hire a florist who can see a need and put something together on the spot.
The bride hired one of the best photographers in the business. Having a great photographer is, dare I say, more important than a great florist. Good photographers can make any moment look like magic. The shot of the brides veil is my favorite!
Most importantly, the couple had fun. They were on a tight timeline, therefore, they had no time to worry about what could go wrong. Everything about the day felt true to them. That is what weddings are all about.
