Four years ago, Donut was on the euthanasia list.
We already had a foster and were preparing for a move to Europe but when I saw pages of healthy kittens marked for euthanasia due to space, my heart broke. I sat there, bawling, and convinced my family to bring Donut and her siblings home “just to foster.”
She was our favorite from the start… the way she curled into my arms, the softest, sweetest little soul.
We got her adopted. She left.
And then… she came back. Returned because of allergies.
She’s been with us ever since and we’re celebrating four years of my sweet Donut 🍩🐾
