Okay, so you know how much I love finding FREE things to do, especially in South Florida? Well, I recently stumbled upon what I now consider one of the most incredible secret spots in Broward County: the Anne Kolb Observation Tower! Seriously, I didn't pay a single cent to enter, and the experience was just priceless. Initially, I was just looking for a new outdoor adventure, and someone whispered about this amazing tower. I was skeptical about "free" and "amazing" in the same sentence for a major attraction, but boy, was I wrong! This isn't just any tower; it's part of the Anne Kolb Nature Center, a truly expansive and beautiful nature preserve. The best part? It's an Elevator Accessible Tower! This was a huge plus for me because sometimes after a long week, I'm not always up for a challenging climb. The elevator whisks you right up to the top, where you're immediately greeted by breathtaking panoramic views. You can see for miles – the intercoastal waterways, the lush mangrove forests, and even glimpses of the ocean. It's a perfect vantage point for birdwatching or just soaking in the natural beauty of the area. I saw so many different species of birds from up there, it felt like being in a live nature documentary! But the Anne Kolb Observation Tower is just the beginning of the adventure. Once you're done admiring the views from above, make sure to explore the entire Nature Center. There are miles of beautifully maintained Nature Trails that wind through the mangroves. I loved walking along the boardwalks, feeling completely immersed in nature. You'll also find several Water Decks along the trails, which are fantastic for spotting marine life – I even saw a manatee once! The visitor center itself is also super informative, with exhibits about the local ecosystem. It's truly an educational and relaxing experience rolled into one. Pro Tip: I highly recommend going in the morning. It opens at 8 am and closes around 7:30 pm, but the morning light is just magical for photos, and it's usually less crowded. Plus, it's cooler before the midday sun really kicks in. Finding this place is super easy too. It's Located Next To The Dania Beach Pier, which makes for a great combo trip if you want to extend your day. The exact address is 751 Sheridan St, Hollywood, FL 33019. There's plenty of parking, so no need to stress about that. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or just looking for a FREE plan in Broward County that offers stunning views and a peaceful escape, the Anne Kolb Observation Tower and Nature Center is an absolute must-visit. It's definitely one of those Reel Secret Spots that deserves way more recognition. Trust me, you won't be disappointed by this Secret Tower in South Florida!
