Truth is ..It’s easy for us to get off track.

It starts something like

“I’m going to take the day off”

“I don’t have time ..it’s to late”

“one more day off isn’t going to hurt. I’ll be back tomorrow”.

“I’ll just start again next month”

And by the time you know it

you start replacing your goals for bad habits that make us stay in the same spot. Then there we go back to square one…

I’m not saying I’ve mastered it just yet but thank goodness I’ve found my rhythm again, and been at it for 3 months and counting but the reality is we need to stay focused on our goal and keep pushing ourselves. I’ve had many success stories of being fit but here we are again ready to knock out my goal. Just know it all starts with “YOU”. So stop waiting for people to join you or wait till someone begs you to join them.

Start because you know you going to go through with it 100%. If we don’t believe in ourselves then how can we succeed or complete our goals. So to end this whole motivational speech…

If you're struggling to stay committed to the positive changes you've made, and want to avoid falling back into old habits that prevent you from achieving your goals, here are some insights that have really helped me: 1. Break Down Your Goals into Tiny, Achievable Steps: One of the biggest reasons we get overwhelmed and give up is because our goals feel too big. Instead of saying, "I'm going to work out every day," start with "I'll do 15 minutes of activity today." Small wins build momentum and make consistency feel less daunting. This helps combat the feeling of "I don't have time" because even 5 minutes is better than none! 2. Prepare for Setbacks (They're Inevitable!): No one stays motivated 100% of the time. There will be days you feel tired, uninspired, or life just gets in the way. Instead of letting one missed day derail everything, have a plan for how you'll get back on track. For instance, if you miss a workout, commit to an extra 10 minutes the next day, or just focus on getting back to your routine without guilt. Remember, progress, not perfection, is the key. 3. Find Your "Why" and Revisit It Often: Why did you start this journey in the first place? Was it for better health, more energy, a specific achievement? When motivation wanes, reconnect with that core reason. I often write down my "why" and put it somewhere I see it daily. It's a powerful reminder that it all starts with YOU and your personal drive. 4. Track Your Progress (Visually!): Seeing how far you've come can be incredibly motivating. Whether it's a habit tracker app, a simple calendar where you mark off successful days, or progress photos, visual evidence of your effort can reinforce your commitment.
