& why you might want to, too!

Today is the official start of trying to take on more minimalistic habits! I’m so excited for this and i’ll be using social media as a way to keep me accountable on this minimalism journey.

i’m not going to go to the extremes with this, but i do know that every time everything is “hidden” and it looks like i don’t have a lot of stuff, that’s when i feel the least stress. so here is to making that a reality! 🥂

every day i’ll be posting what i get rid of, what ive organized, and what im learning. in the world of overconsumption i think that this is something we could all benefit from!

... Read moreIn a world filled with overconsumption, minimalism offers a refreshing alternative that encourages us to focus on what truly matters. Many individuals experience stress as a result of excessive clutter, both physically and mentally. Studies have shown that a cluttered environment can significantly affect mental well-being, leading to feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. On my minimalism journey, I am committed to decluttering my space and sharing my progress along the way. Each day, I aim to remove at least one bag or box of items from my home. This commitment not only helps to clear physical clutter but also fosters a sense of accomplishment and relief. Engaging with a community of fellow minimalists can provide motivation and support—be sure to follow the hashtags such as #minimalistlifestyle, #declutter, and #minimalisthome to connect with others on a similar path. The process of minimalism goes beyond just tidying up; it encourages mindfulness about our possessions. By evaluating what we own and why we hold onto certain items, we can make more intentional choices about what to keep in our lives. Minimalism is about creating space—both physically and mentally—allowing us to prioritize experiences and relationships over material goods. For anyone contemplating a minimalist lifestyle, remember that it’s okay to start small. Every bit of progress counts, and sharing your journey on social media can be an excellent way to stay accountable. Let’s inspire each other as we learn about sustainable living, decluttering, and simplifying life together!
