Vertical Turbine Pump

Vertical Turbine Pump, which is used in industrial, plumbing, or fire suppression systems that have to pump water from underground water pumps or water sources below the pump.

Here are the details of the equipment and working principles:

1. Key components of equipment

• Main Motor / Drive (Main Motor): for example, rotating power, mounted above ground, to prevent moisture and easy to maintain.

• Vertical Pump Column (Vertical Pipeline): It is a pipe that connects between the bottom pump body and the top driving head. Inside, there is a "Shaft" transmitting power from the motor down to rotate the propeller.

• Pump Bowl Assembly (Pump Housing Assembly): Submerged part. Contains multiple layers of propellers (Stages) to increase water pressure.

• Impeller (propeller): A heart that acts to swing water with the center of action to generate kinetic energy for the water to move upwards.

• Discharge Pipe: Exit pipe of water after being pumped up to send to the next use system

• Pressure Gauge & Valves (Pressure Gauge & Valve): Used for system pressure monitoring and flow control (e.g. check valve, anti-reverse flow water)

• Underground Water Tank (Underground Water Tank): A backup water source that the pump will suck up to use.

2. Working Principles

The principle of operation of this pump relies on the centrifugal force, with the following steps:

1.Startup: The top motor will start rotating and transmit power through the vertical shaft in the middle of the Column tube down to find the propeller (Impeller) submerged in water.

2. Pressure generation: When the propeller rotates at a high speed, the water will be swung from the center out to the edge of the propeller. The water will be pressurized and spiral up into the pump housing assembly (Bowl) in the next layer (if there are multiple layers, the pressure will continue to rise).

3. Rise-to-top flow: Water that is rolled until high pressure will flow through the Column pipe up vertically to the pump head on the ground.

4. Water Supply: The water is redirected from vertical to low through the Discharge pipe and is sent into the main pipe system. The pressure gauge monitors the stability of the system.

• No Self-priming: Because the propeller is already in the water, it can pump the water as soon as it is turned on.

• High pressure: Stages can be increased to increase the water pressure as needed.
