Claude for Word is an AI embedded in Microsoft Word by the genre.
Claude for Word is an AI embedded in Microsoft Word directly as a sidebar. No tab switching required. No copy-paste required. Just officially opened the public beta.
The different point from other AI is that it works as tracked changes. What paragraph do you highlight? Tell Claude to adjust the tone or cut it tightly. It only solves the parts, formatting and numbering, not messing around. Then you can accept or reject them one by one.
What I really like is that it can read the comments in the document. Just leave the comments, tell me what you want. Claude will edit the anchor text and reply back in that thread. It works with the team very naturally.
There is a consistency check feature. Claude will flag a non-consistent definition, a broken cross-reference, or a false numbering throughout the document and then let you review before applying.
Any team already has a good workflow, such as a contract review procedure or a research brief, save it as a Skill and share it with the people on the team to run it without repeated prompt.
Context can be shared between Word, Excel, PowerPoint in a single conversation. Open it and throw data across the file.
The restriction is that only Team ($25 / person / month) and Enterprise and up. Free and Pro do not apply.
