Chicken Bacon Ranch Tatertot Casserole

Recipe Below ⬇️⬇️

Bag of tater tots

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 block of cream cheese

16 oz sour cream

1 packet of ranch

1 bag of bacon bits

8 oz of colby jack cheese

1 lb of Frozen chicken tenders cooked

2 tbs butter

Add cream soup, sour cream, and softened cream cheese to bowl and mix. Add ranch seasoning (reserve 1 tsp for later) bacon bits and half of your cheese to bowl and mix. Add in your cooked and cut up tenders and mix (cut into bite size pieces). Layer some tots in the bottom of your 9x13. top with your chicken mixture. Spread that evenly and top with the remaining cheese. Place your final layer of tots on top. Melt your butter and mix in the remaining tsp of ranch seasoning. Drizzle over the top of the tots. One tip I’ve found really enhances this casserole is to make sure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing, so the mixture is extra smooth and creamy. I also like to make sure the frozen chicken tenders are well cooked and chopped into bite-sized pieces for an even distribution. Using ranch seasoning powder not only adds flavor but also complements the bacon bits and colby jack cheese perfectly. Mixing a bit of melted butter with ranch to drizzle over the top tater tots adds an irresistible golden and crispy finish. You can customize this recipe easily by swapping out the colby jack cheese for cheddar or adding some diced green onions or jalapeños for a bit of a kick. This casserole reheats really well, making it great for lunch leftovers or a meal prep option. From my experience, baking it just around 45-50 minutes at 375°F ensures the tater tots get a nice crispy top without drying out the creamy chicken layer underneath.
