Because let's be real, while the mindset is key, having clothes that you feel good in makes a huge difference! One of the biggest questions I hear is, 'What should you wear to the gym?' And honestly, my answer is still: whatever makes you feel amazing! But if you're looking for some practical guidance, here’s my take. When it comes to bottoms, I've seen it all, and worn it all – from sleek matching leggings for leg day to comfortable matching shorts for cardio, and yes, even sweatpants! Don't let anyone tell you sweatpants aren't gym-appropriate. They're fantastic for warmth, comfort, and days when you just want to feel cozy. The key is to choose activewear that allows for a full range of motion and doesn't restrict you. For tops, a good sports bra is non-negotiable for most of us. Whether it's a supportive, high-impact one for jumping and running, or a lighter, more stylish light olive sports bra or dark patterned sports bra for strength training or yoga, make sure it offers the support you need. I personally love coordinating my sports bras with my bottoms, like the brown sports bra and matching leggings combo – it just makes me feel put-together and confident from the moment I step into the gym. Developing your personal gym style is all about experimenting and finding what works for your body and your workouts. Don't feel pressured by trends. If you love bright colors and bold patterns, go for it! If you prefer classic black and neutrals, that's great too. My personal journey involved trying different cuts and fabrics until I found pieces that not only looked good but also felt incredibly comfortable and functional. This is where the 'gym fashion vs personal style' really comes into play – your personal style should always win out. And for all my ladies capturing those empowering gym mirror selfies, remember, it's about celebrating your progress and confidence!
