you weren’t meant to live like this.
sis, be for real…
you’re not tired because you're lazy.
you’re tired because you’ve been running on empty for years.
functioning in survival mode like it’s your personality trait.
and honestly? it’s catching up to you.
you’ve been “strong” for so long it became your default setting.
you don’t even flinch anymore—
you just push through, smile, keep it moving, tell everybody “i’m fine”
…when you’re not even close.
you’ve turned high-functioning exhaustion into a lifestyle.
you don’t rest—you crash.
you don’t feel—you suppress.
you don’t heal—you distract.
and deep down, you know it’s not sustainable.
but it’s hard to stop surviving when it’s the only thing that’s ever felt safe.
when you’ve been in survival mode since you were a kid,
your nervous system doesn’t even recognize peace as peace—
it sees it as a threat.
so when life finally slows down, you get anxious.
when someone shows up for you, you question it.
when things get good, you wait for the catch.
but sis…this isn’t what you were created for.
you weren’t meant to live in fight or flight forever.
you weren’t meant to carry it all just because you know how.
you deserve softness.
you deserve to exhale.
you deserve a life that doesn’t feel like survival every single day.
it’s okay to want more.
it’s okay to say “this isn’t working for me anymore.”
it’s okay to put the bags down—even if you’ve carried them your whole life.
because this version of you?
the one that’s always tired, always performing, always pushing through?
she’s not the final version.
she’s just the one that got you here.
but baby, you don’t have to stay here.

This describes me perfectly! I've lost myself and I forgot how to be happy.
