BEST NASI LEMAK ARCHAR!

This is truely legit!

Perfectly balanced in terms of sourness to perk up your appetite & packing crunch. Other than pineapple & cucumber, there's also turnip (this is the secret weapon). All 3 gives different texture as you bite into them. This is the BEST ARCHAR, I have eaten so far!

Basmastic rice with natural blue pea flower coloring, topped with a fried chicken wing, peanuts, ikan billis & not forgetting the sambal, gosh, the quality of food versus the price (I paid $4), Ah Boy Nasi Lemak really delivered great value. This is now my favorite nasi lemak place.

... Read moreWhen it comes to enjoying nasi lemak, the side dishes can truly define the meal, and archar is one of those key accompaniments that bring a refreshing contrast to the rich coconut rice. What I find especially remarkable about Ah Boy Nasi Lemak’s archar is the inclusion of turnip alongside the usual pineapple and cucumber. The turnip adds a unique crunch and a subtle earthiness that perfectly balances the sweet and sour notes from the pineapple and the cool freshness from the cucumber. This combination creates a multi-textured experience with every bite. I also appreciate the use of basmati rice naturally colored with blue pea flower, adding a visually appealing twist that elevates the dish beyond the usual. The fragrant, fluffy rice serves as the perfect base that complements the fried chicken wing’s crispy exterior and juicy meat. Don’t underestimate the value of Ah Boy Nasi Lemak either. Priced at just $4, this meal offers a generous portion of quality ingredients including peanuts and ikan bilis, and a sambal that packs just the right amount of heat without overpowering the palate. It’s hard to find nasi lemak that balances authenticity, taste, and affordability so well. If you're exploring Singapore’s food scene, Ah Boy Nasi Lemak is definitely worth a visit—not just for the archar, but for the entire nasi lemak experience. Bringing together fresh ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and classic flavors, it stands out as a local favorite. For anyone who enjoys eating nasi lemak, trying this place adds a memorable chapter to your food adventures.
