Etsy can still sell now? I think we're asking the wrong question.
"Can Etsy still sell now?"
This question I see very often.
People who are interested in Etsy often ask first:
Can it still be sold now?
Many sales people yet?
Ton market yet?
Is it too late to start now?
I think we can ask.
But there's another question I want to ask in tandem.
"So what are we going to sell?"
Because even if the market still has people buying
If we go to make products that are all made in the same way
Same picture
Same style
The client simply didn't have enough reason to choose us.
On the other hand,
Some markets look like a lot of competitors.
But if we find a more specific group of customers,
Found Theme that not many others have done
Or make the original product in a different angle.
There is still space to try.
So when I see what product to make
I didn't just look at
"Is someone selling?"
I will continue to see that
What do people buy?
What does a best-selling store do?
What does most work look like?
So where can we be different?
If Etsy is aiming now,
Don't worry about being too late.
Let's change the question to
"If I were to start today, what would I enter the market with?"
This question allows us to see more ways than sitting down and asking if Etsy can still sell alone.
