On Saturday, Jan. 31, PCSO Search and Rescue teams responded to three separate missions across Pinal County.
Crews first assisted an injured hiker on the Picketpost Mountain Trail near Superior, who was hoisted out by Air 2. Teams then responded to a second injured hiker near the top of Picacho Peak. In both rescues, an assigned BORSTAR Paramedic was hoisted down, treated the hikers on scene, and assisted with their removal from the trails.
Later in the day, SAR Deputies and Air 2 assisted in the search for a lost and stranded ATV rider near Cochran and Florence Kelvin Highway. The rider was located safe.
