July Set-up
Happy July! My July theme in my bullet journal is Strawberry Shortcake. I was inspired to do a Strawberry Shortcake theme at GO Wild last month, where I bought a “Strawberry Shortcake Sweet Stationery Box.” Strawberry Shortcake is my favorite doll from childhood. I loved her red hair and freckles, her red polka dot dress with white apron, her pink bonnet decorated with strawberries, and of course, her sweet strawberry scent! Although she has been updated over the years, I’m partial to the original 1980s doll. Forty years later, I’m still a Strawberry Shortcake girl, and continue to add to my collection of dolls, plushies, stickers, and stationery! 🍓
Strawberry Shortcake has been a cherished icon since her original release in the 1980s, captivating fans with her signature red hair, freckles, and strawberry-themed fashion. This classic character inspired an entire aesthetic celebrated in planner communities and bullet journal setups. Incorporating a Strawberry Shortcake theme into your bullet journal not only offers visually appealing layouts but also evokes a sense of nostalgia that motivates creative planning. Bullet journaling is a versatile method to organize your goals, schedules, and creative ideas. Choosing a theme like Strawberry Shortcake helps unify spreads and infuses each page with personal meaning. Utilizing themed stationery, stickers, and decorative boxes—like the "Strawberry Shortcake Sweet Stationery Box" mentioned—can enhance the tactile and visual appeal of journals. Moreover, the fandom surrounding Strawberry Shortcake has evolved with various merchandise including dolls, plushies, and art supplies, enriching fans’ collections over decades. The community engagement through hashtags such as #bulletjournal, #plannercommunity, and #strawberryshortcake connects enthusiasts who exchange inspiration and tips for thematic planning. When planning your July setup, consider integrating elements such as strawberry motifs, polka dots, and the signature red and pink color palette to evoke the character's essence. Using a consistent theme throughout your journal pages can provide motivation and a cohesive look, making task tracking and goal setting more enjoyable. For added authenticity, referencing the original 1980s design captures the timeless charm that resonates with long-time fans and newcomers alike. Incorporating prompts or stickers that reflect summer vibes alongside the Strawberry Shortcake theme can help balance nostalgia with seasonal relevance. Overall, this approach to bullet journaling not only enhances organization but cultivates a personalized creative space that celebrates beloved childhood memories.
