They may not have that middle bun, but they sure do have the flavor - thanks to this one ingredient! 🙌🏻

These Big Mac Sliders are the perfect addition to any game day spread… and especially for Super Bowl Sunday! The burger sauce is also on point 🙌🏻. Here’s how this delicious appetizer comes together:

Ingredients:

- 1lb of ground beef - 93/7

- 8-10 slices of cheddar cheese - just depends how cheesy you want them!

- 1 pack of @kings Hawaiian ain Savory Butter Rolls

- 2.5 Tbsps of dried minced onion (you can find this in the spice aisle!)

- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

- 1/2 cup mayo - you know I went with @dukes

- 1/3 cup ketchup

- 3 Tbsp of relish (I went with 2 Tbsp of dill relish & 1 Tbsp of sweet - but use what you prefer!)

- 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar

- 1 tsp salt

- 1 tsp onion powder

- 2 Tbsps of Butter

- Sesame seeds

Directions:

1. In a small ramekin or bowl, soak 2.5 Tbsps of dried minced onion in 2 Tbsp of water. Set aside.

2. In a bowl mix the following sauce ingredients until fully incorporated: Mayo, ketchup, relish, white wine vinegar, salt, & onion powder. Stir until fully incorporated. Taste and add salt to your liking if necessary. Store in the fridge.

3. Preheat oven to 350. Brown and crumble 1lb of 93/7 ground beef. When halfway cooked, pour in the Worcestershire sauce & rehydrated dried onions with the water. Stir until fully incorporated. Once meat is cooked, remove pan from heat and set aside.

4. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Brush burger sauce all over the inside of both the top and bottom halves.

5. Place sauced bottom half of rolls on a parchment lined cooking sheet or baking dish. Layer cheese and then browned meat mixture. Top meat with another layer of cheese and then place the sauced top back on top of the sliders.

6. Melt 2 Tbsps of butter, brush all over tops of sliders, and then sprinkle with sesame seeds.

7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.

8. Enjoy!

... Read moreIf you're looking to elevate your cheeseburger sliders beyond the typical flavors, using dried minced onions rehydrated in water is a surprisingly effective technique. It helps to release a deep sweet and savory onion essence that blends beautifully with the ground beef, mimicking that classic Big Mac taste at home. I started incorporating this ingredient after reading recommendations from fellow food enthusiasts, and it truly transforms the sliders, adding a moisture and flavor boost without overpowering the other ingredients. When preparing the burger sauce, balancing mayo, ketchup, and relish with vinegar and salt creates a tangy but creamy bite that complements the meat perfectly. For those who enjoy experimenting, you can tweak the relish ratio between dill and sweet to match your preferred tanginess levels. Another tip is to use Hawaiian rolls as the slider buns—since their slight sweetness counterbalances the savory beef and sauce, giving each slider a delightful contrast. During assembly, layering cheese before and after the meat ensures that every bite has that melty texture and rich taste. Brushing the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkling sesame seeds not only adds a beautiful golden finish but also a subtle nutty aroma once baked. These sliders bake quickly at 350°F, making them an ideal appetizer for busy game day hosting. I recommend serving them warm right out of the oven to enjoy the full cheesiness and sauce flavors. Whether you’re hosting a Super Bowl party or just craving something nostalgic, incorporating these steps and especially the rehydrated dried onion really takes your sliders to the next level.
