... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! So excited to finally be hopping on the Lemon8 bandwagon and share my absolute favorite thing with you all: BOOKS! Honestly, if you asked me what I do at any social interaction, my answer would probably be, 'I like to read very much!' It's my happy place, my escape, and truly where I feel most at home. There's just something magical about getting lost in a story, isn't there? Lately, I've been on such a journey with my reading choices, exploring different genres and narrative styles that just pull you right in. I remember feeling that thrill with books like the EVERFLAME series – the way the world-building and character development just swept me away was incredible. It’s those kinds of stories that remind me why I became such a dedicated bookworm in the first place. You know, the ones where you're so immersed you forget everything else around you. My mama's always telling me I have my nose in a book, and while she's not quite sure of her reasoning, I just know it's where the magic happens! And speaking of immersive reads, I've been absolutely captivated by stories featuring compelling character perspectives, especially those with a unique 'POV.' This brings me to something I've been thinking about a lot: the power of a distinct narrative voice, like what you find in a 'Lilith Jane Lucky POV' kind of story. What makes these perspectives so gripping? For me, it's the raw intimacy you get with the character's thoughts, feelings, and experiences. You're not just observing; you're living through their eyes. It adds so many layers to the plot, making you feel every twist and turn so much more intensely. When a character's POV is well-executed, it transforms the entire reading experience. You start to anticipate their reactions, understand their motivations, and even question your own perceptions alongside theirs. It's not just about what happens in the story, but how the character processes it. This depth is what I constantly seek in my reads, whether it's a fantasy epic, a thrilling mystery, or a heartfelt romance. Finding a book where the principal character's perspective shines through, giving you an almost unfiltered glimpse into their world, is truly a treasure. It makes the story unforgettable and leaves you pondering long after you've turned the last page. It’s definitely something I look for when picking my next dive into a book. So, if you're like me and love to explore rich narratives and unique character journeys, I highly recommend seeking out stories that master the art of the 'POV.' There’s nothing quite like it to make you fall in love with reading all over again. What are some of your favorite books with strong character POVs? I'm always looking for recommendations to add to my endless TBR pile!

if you’re bad at being consistent, read this ➡️
my whole life i defined consistency as perfection. if i slipped up, missed a day, made a mistake, then in my head i “broke my streak” and had to start all over again (which is super discouraging) but consistency isn’t doing everything exactly right every day. it’s about showing up to the table -
