If you’re a cat lover staying at the west, this is a cat cafe that you need to check out!
Located Buona Vista Star Vista, this cozy cat cafe is situated at a quiet corner of the mall. Entry fees are as low as $8.90 (20 mins) for weekdays.
I’ve been here twice before and weekdays are typically quiet. I’ll usually go for 60 mins + 1 free drink. There’s a cafe right beside so you can hang out there after that, grab a coffee and desserts as well!
The staff were pretty friendly too - would explain to us the cat dynamics, which one is friendlier haha and which one to be careful if u wanna touch. The cats are pretty chill but just don’t touch their belly, etc like the standard.. respect their space!
Overall this place is worth checking out, even if you’re not from the west area, it’s very accessible via train and situated right beside Buona Vista MRT. I also prefer cats cafes in SG as i’ve visited cats cafe overseas in the past, and found that some were quite unsanitary or poorly maintained. The hygiene standards and cat’s care are much better in here.

... Read moreAs someone who has always been a huge fan of cat cafes, I found The Cat Experience in Buona Vista truly special during my visits. The $8.90 entry fee for 20 minutes on weekdays was very reasonable, and I often opted for the 60-minute session that included a free drink—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The quiet, cozy corner of the mall made it feel like a tranquil escape, and having a nearby cafe for coffee and desserts was a nice bonus.
What really stood out was how well the cats were cared for. The staff patiently explained each cat’s personality and how to interact respectfully—advising on which cats loved attention and which preferred their space. Their emphasis on respecting the cats’ boundaries, like avoiding their bellies, made the experience feel very considerate and safe for both visitors and cats.
Compared to other cat cafes I’ve been to overseas, this place had noticeably better hygiene and maintenance standards. It was refreshing to see such dedication to the cats’ health and cleanliness, which I believe made the overall atmosphere more pleasant and inviting. Easily accessible via Buona Vista MRT, it was a convenient spot even for visitors from other parts of Singapore.
It’s sad to learn that the cafe closed in April and the cats have since retired. But reflecting on the time spent there reminds me of the unique joy cat cafes can bring—not just as places to enjoy coffee but as spaces for calm, connection, and happiness with feline friends. For cat lovers, particularly those in the west side of Singapore, The Cat Experience offered a gem worth visiting while it lasted, and I hope its memories inspire others to value and care for these charming animals just as much.
