It is said that it started when Yamato Takeru no Mikoto enshrined Amaterasu Omikami in this place during the conquest of Togoku.
During the eastern expedition, it is said that the village was saved by the divine virtue when I saw that this land was suffering from severe drought (drought) and prayed to Amaterasu Omikami.
