Governor Shachchan ordered the "oil transport" to solve the problem behind the peak, even though the BMA has no direct law enforcement authority.
In the wake of the situation with the people flocking to refuel, gas station sales skyrocketed and resulted in the problem of untimely delivery of oil from depots to gas stations at some point. Most recently, today, Bangkok Governor Chachchan Rightek gave an interview on the case for facilitating oil transportation in the Bangkok area. Later, the Department of Energy requested cooperation to ease the running time of oil trucks to make oil distribution more streamlined.
Governor Chachchan said that Bangkok is ready to cooperate fully in the area where it can be implemented. It has ordered the Bangkok Permanent Secretary to coordinate the relevant departments to facilitate and create a matching understanding. However, the BMA does not have direct authority to enforce the law on truck entry and exit because it is the authority of police officers and the Ministry of Transportation.
